ISO 14001:2004 Certification Ava policy places product quality, health and safety of personnel, and protection of the environment, first in everything it does. For that reason AVA has been working towards an integrated management system that includes Quality, Environment and Safety. All efforts during the past months have led to the certification of AVA S.p.A. in April 2005 by CERMET (ITALIAN certification body) according the standard ISO 14001:2004. The ISO 14001:2004 standard is intended to provide the elements of an effective environmental management system (EMS) designed to achieve environmental and economic goals. This is the second edition of this International Standard (replaces ISO 14001:96) and takes into account the provisions of ISO 9001:2000 in order to enhance the compatibility of the two standards.
