WBM Dispersed Systems

AVAFLUID
Lignosulfonate mud system used for a wide variety of applications. Tolerant to solids and chemical contamination; it can be prepared with fresh, sea or salt water.

AVAFLUID/AVALIG
Water-based fluid design for HPHT and geothermal wells up to 360°F (180°C). The system uses AVAFLUID G71 for deflocculation, AVALIG (chrome-lignite) and AVAREX (polymeric resin for thermal stability and fluid loss control).

AVAFLUID/GYP
Calcium treated dispersed mud used to drill hydratable clay and/or anhydrite formations. AVAFLUID/GYP has high solids tolerance and can be weighted up to 2.3 g/cm3.

AVAGELTERM
Environmentally friendly high gel water-based fluid designed for HPHT and geothermal wells up to 450°F (230°C). Stable in presence of contaminants.

AVALIG/K
Lignite dispersed, inhibitive Potassium-based muds for water-sensitive formations. Best inhibition is obtained with fresh-water but it can be prepared with sea, brackish or salt water.

AVAREX
Environmentally safe water-based system designed for HPHT drilling and geothermal wells up to 450°F (230°C). High solids tolerance. Stable to contaminants.

AVATERM
Water-based fluid used for HPHT and packer fluid applications. Stable up to 450°F (230°C) and tolerant to Calcium and CO2 contaminants.

AVATHIN/LIME
Dispersed lime system used to minimize hydration of clay formation and to reduce effects of CO2 and H2S. Low viscosity, low gels, and high solids tolerance.
